Advisors

Advisors who will tell you no

Bring your live deal to people whose job is to challenge it. Advisors are paid hourly and have no stake in whether you close. They’ll push on your assumptions, take a closer look at the risks, and tell you when something does not hold up.

Get another set of eyes on your deal

As a Lab member, you don’t have to wait until diligence is over or a decision is due to ask for help. Members can use Advisors throughout their entire search to ask quick questions to get a full deal review.

Advisor calls every business day

Calls run every business day across the specialties that come up during a search. Bring a live question, listen to someone else work through theirs, or put a deal in front of the room before you commit.

Bring your live deal to the Search Forum

The weekly Search Forum is where members bring live deals for a deeper review. Present the opportunity, walk through the numbers and assumptions, and let Advisors and other members challenge the parts that need a closer look.

No extra fee for calls & support

Advisor access is part of the Lab, not an add-on. You don’t pay by the call or by the question. Use the calls, bring deals to the Search Forum, and keep coming back as new questions come up.

No commission behind the advice

Advisors are paid hourly by the Lab and have no financial stake in whether your deal closes. Nobody on a call earns a commission if you buy, so the advice doesn’t depend on getting the transaction done.

Advisor support outside the Lab

Some Advisors also run firms that Lab members can hire for work such as lending, diligence, or brokerage.

While the advisory calls are included either way, hiring anyone outside for additional work is always an option and will depend on what needs to be done as your deal moves forward.

Different requirements for Committed Capital

Members using the Committed Capital Program are required to close with a vetted deal team. This requirement is tied to the committed capital itself and doesn’t apply to every deal the Fund backs.
